Dr. Vong John Hing is an experienced board member with 44 years in the fields of fintech and education. He is currently engaged in sustainable finance at Climateworks Australia and serves as a non-executive council member at Regional Bank and a senior technical specialist with the United Nations.
His earlier career includes important roles at the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank Group, where he provided strategic
input. Academically, Dr. Vong has been a professor at the National University of Singapore and founded the Fintech Academy at
Singapore Management University. His banking career includes roles such as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Sacombank in Vietnam
and senior executive positions at HSBC Holdings plc across Australia and Asia.
He holds a BA in Economics from Birmingham City University, an MBA in Economic Strategy and Finance from the University of
Bradford, and a PhD in MIS Business Intelligence from the same institution. Dr. Vong is a member of CPA Australia and has
participated in advanced negotiation training at the MIT-Harvard University Consensus Building Institute.
